Martha Anderson, the founder of NEST Residential Design, has more than 15 years experience designing custom single family residences, remodels, and additions.  Born in Oregon and raised exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, Martha's design sensibility explores relationships and connections to people, our environment, and artistry found in materials and spaces providing both function and delight.

In addition to residential architecture, Martha has a passion for sustainable design and community planning. Early in her career, she advocated for civic opportunities to create thriving, sustainable, and pedestrian centered communities.  She harvested that passion into a profession through her work at Olsen Design and Development, Inc. partnering with Eric Olsen.  After having three lovely children, Martha established NEST Residential Design giving both her clients (and her family) the personal attention she is known for.

Martha holds a bachelors degree in Fine Arts from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and earned her Master of Architecture degree at University of Colorado, Denver. She has studied art and architecture in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal. Her studies abroad and her wanderlust spirit have strongly influenced her work.  Based in Salem, OR, Martha's clients are sprinkled through out the Willamette Valley, the Oregon Cascades, and the Oregon Coast.
